I really should have done the chocolate substitute…I could see how these might be good with tea, but that’s not something I enjoy either. “Prince Charming” likes tea, but only when he is sick, which is another reason these probably tasted medicinal to him!

Oh, sorry to hear these were not a hit. I liked them a lot with tea, they went really well with a cup of tea. Kept waiting for someone to add some chocolate somehow this week, but so far I am not seeing anything. I thought maybe you would be the one!

I agree with your review 100%. I did not care for these. The flavor was okay, just too thin. My hubby, who eats everything, tried a bite and left the rest on the counter. I look forward to the tweaked version of the second cookies you made. Mmmm!

I’m glad to hear you enjoyed these and like the idea of the chocolate chips

As far as quantity goes I find the brown sugar and the white granulated sugar are perfectly interchangeable. However, they do react differently in the recipes as far as flavor and texture goes. In some cases it is just a matter of taste but in other cases you simply will not get the right texture if you substitute one for the other. Most of the time I prefer the brown sugar for both taste and texture
