I am familiar with the Mexican wedding cookie, my mother makes a very similar Italian cookie every year for Christmas. The resemblance was one of the reasons I decided to roll these cookies in powdered sugar and cinnamon :) Danielle - I'm glad I wasn't alone in being underwhelmed by these cookies.
